Los Angeles Shopping Articles
While in Los Angeles County, shopping can be a great delight. The area boasts many shopping areas that are located at cities like Beverly Hills, Century city, and Malibu. If you have a day to shop and money to spend make sure you go to America’s most famous shopping area, Rodeo Drive, at Beverly Hills. I assure you a shopping experience beyond comparison.
The city of Beverly Hills is a few minutes drive southwest of downtown Hollywood west of metropolitan Los Angeles. You won’t miss the city’s towering trees, and miles of manicured green lawns. Beverly Hills is also home to many Hollywood stars and other rich and famous people. These people shop regularly at Rodeo Drive. So don’t be surprised if you run into famous Hollywood celebrities while on your shopping spree.
Actually Rodeo drive stretches from Sunset to Wilshire but the shopping area begins from Wilshire Boulevard on the south, to Santa Monica Boulevard in the north. This area is also known as the golden triangle. These three blocks of shopping wonder turns heavenly during Christmas time, especially in the evenings when lights and flowers decorate the streets. But avoid going on a Sunday as most shops will not open.
The worlds greatest clothing designers like Armani, Gucci, Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, and Ralph Lauren, have their own boutiques here. If you want to seriously shop for men’s fashion clothing, Bijan on north Rodeo is the ultimate shop in the world, owned by the Iranian designer Bejan. But you can’t get in and meet him without an appointment. If you spend over $100000 here on a visit it won’t raise a single eyebrow. Bijan has men’s wear, jewelry, and fragrances for men and women. Bejan is known to have designed entire wardrobes for the most powerful men in the world like kings, presidents and heads of states.
Two Rodeo is an outdoor shopping mall that re-creates a romantic version of an old European avenue and has a unique blend of classic architecture. It also houses a couple of great restaurants. Its tenants include great names in jewelry like Tiffany, Cartier, Charles Jourdan, Valentino, and Jose Eber. Just visiting this area is enough to make your spirits soar.
The famous Beverly Hills hotel and Regent Beverly Wilshire are located here. Rodeo drive also houses two parks called Beverly Gardens and Will Rogers Memorial. Besides the classic stores like Tiffany & co that still sets the standard for designer diamond jewelry, there are today many new shops at Rodeo. Though the famous Hilfiger had to close shop at Rodeo many new boutiques like Prada Epicenter, Michael Kors, Dolce and Gubbana, and BCBG Max Azria are serving sophisticated clients. These boutiques display clothes and other accessories that can be so special that sometimes it is almost like you are in a museum. But you can also come across genuine but affordable stuff. Anyway besides star gazing and window shopping, you are assured a memorable shopping in Los Angeles.
