The Hollywood Walk of Fame, Los Angeles

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of Los Angeles most enduring landmarks, stretching for eighteen blocks along Hollywood Boulevard from Gower Street to La Brea Avenue and for three blocks along Vine Street from Sunset Boulevard to Yucca Street.

More than 2000 bronze star-shaped plaques, embedded in rose pink and charcoal gray terrazzo, celebrate the achievement of some of the foremost performers in the fields of motion pictures, television, music and theater with a further twenty to twenty-five entertainers inducted each year.

At the corner of Hollywood and La Brea is a striking silver gazebo, its corners supported by larger than life-size statues of four of the silver screen's most famous goddesses; Mae West, Dorothy Dandridge, Anna May Wong and Dolores del Rio.
